Ava

Hi there bloggers.

I just want to say a big thank you to all my friend bloggers who are following me and for all your lovely comments. I really do appreciate them and look forward to reading them. I have viewed and also followed some wonderful blogs - brill for inspiration during the times when you own is lacking.

I am so chuffed because I posted a comment on Bev Rochesters LOTV blog to win a stack of paper in her give away and my name was one of the three picked. To win a prize in the first two weeks of my blog starting is something I would never have thought. Never usually that lucky with prize draws. Thank you so much Bev, I will look forward to them arriving and will post a card using some of the papers.

Another thank you and that is to Krista from Saturated Canary who was kindly giving away the digi image below. Her name is Ava and she is so pretty.

The papers are from Nitwit Collections - I just love their papers though I am often spoilt for choice.
I have coloured the image with Copic Markers and Polychromo pencils. The flowers, hat pin and metal embellishment are from WOC. I will have to get back to about the leafy die as I cant remember where I purchased it.

The sentiment is from LOTV and the ribbon from own stash. I think we all accumulate so many ribbons it is difficult to keep tabs on where they are from.

A compilation

Night night from Blogland - see you all soon

Never too old for a hug

'Never too old for a hug'

Evening bloggers.
Another very busy day at work today - just about sold out of bbq's and patio sets. It would be nice to enjoy this lovely weather with some friends but our garden needs to have some time and effort put into it as at the moment it is rather overgrown. I have put a notice in our front garden saying "pick your own weeds" but nobody has come forward yet. Actually, Sophie's (our daughter) boyfriend is a landscape gardener but he is not taking the hint when I say he needs to build up a portfolio and our garden would be ideal!!!

I think my cat Lara is wanting to be part of my blog. I was finishing a card this evening and I found Lara sat in my light box.

I have another card using LOTV stamp "Never too old for a hug". It is brighter than my usual cards but I loved the pinks and greens so I thought I would give it a go. I am pleased with the results though I cant decide whether I like the bright green ribbon. I think maybe it would be better using a white ribbon. What do you think?

Never too old for a hug

Evening bloggers.
Could this be the start of summer?  I am not a sun worshipper but it does make you feel better when the sun is shining - no doubt the air will smell of bbq's this evening. Are there any eurovision song contest fans out there? I dare say there may be more people watching the football.

Todays card is another from  LOTV. I do love their stamps.

Never too old for a hug

I love this image and the sentiment is so true. I haven't added many embellishments to this card because as I was trying different layouts it seemed to me that less is more. The 'never too old for a hug' image has been coloured with Copic markers and her wings have been dusted with diamond sparkles.  I have used an embossed card from Craftwork Cards. The cherish border die is a memory box die which available from Oyster Stamps and the flowers are available from WOC.

A compilation

Card blank - Craftwork cards
Stamp - LOTV
Cherish Border Die - Oyster Stamps
Colouring medium - Copic markers

Thanks for stopping by. As mentioned any comments will be very much appreciated.

Milly just for you

Good evening bloggers.

Having a relaxing couple of hours after a 12hr shift at work...my poor feet. I work in Asda in the Home and Leisure dept and the demand for patio sets and barbecue goods has been non stop. I have had a problem with photoscape this evening and have been on web sites trying to find the solution for at least an hour before asking Russ for help. Hate to say it but he sorted it in five mins...Smart arse!!!

I have another LOTV card this evening

This is another stamp I purchased from the LOTV masterclass in colouring. I used a combination of copic markers and polychromo pencils to colour Milly and the flower.

The Die is a by Memory Box called Catalina Wreath which I purchased from Oyster Stamps. The flowers, hat pin and corner embellie are all from WOC

I will be back again tomorrow evening hopefully. I originaly said I would perhaps not be able to post every day but I have a few cards already made which I will post in the next few days.
Night to all

I have entered this card into the following challenges
