A new challenge at Dream Valley

Good morning friends.

Just editing my post to tell you that my stolen card has now been removed. I will leave the information below in case you want to check his blog out.

Before I tell you about Dream Valleys new challenge I want to warn you that I have had one of my cards stolen so please be on the lookout for the scumbag. The lovely Sharon from Sharons cardz korner messaged me on Wednesday as she had received a message from one of her contacts because she thought that one of Sharons cards had been entered into a competition of which she is a DT member by Joseph Luck. Sharon after looking at the link realised that it was in fact one of mine.  He has now put my blog address under the card but this still does not make it acceptable. This is my card and I do not want it on his blog. He has re written my blog post but very badly and has even used my families names. I will be adding my watermark to the middle of my photos from now on as he chose the one card where he could crop it so as to hide my blog address.  Here is the blog address so you can be aware of him.

So, now onto my card.
The challenge at Dream Valley which starts today, has a theme of Purple and Green and we have a surprise prize up for grabs. The design team have some really gorgeous creations to show you so it would be lovely if you could pop across and enter the challenge.

I have used a Magnolia image Jam Tilda - Yummy Yummy

I have coloured her with Distress Markers
Dress and socks - Milled Lavender, dusty Concord
Blouse - Shabby Shutter
Skin - Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair - Antique Linen, Vintage Photo

The paper are a download from Craftwork Cards.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.

Glitter and Sparkle - Add Ribbon
Allsorts Challenge - Butterflies
4 Krafty Girlz - Anything goes
 CCEE Stampers - Birthday
Crafty Ribbon - Anything goes with ribbon
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes

Thank you so much for stopping by and I will catch up with you all later.

A gorgeous card Sharon. Delightful image and lovely colour combo and details.
Thanks for the warning about Joseph Luck. I have checked out his blog and he has also posted a card from a member on another team I belong to. I have let her know and she is certainly not happy.

Oh my goodness, I cannot believe the nerve of some people. Thank you for the warning. I used to place my watermark at the edge of my cards but will be moving it over in future.

the sheer nerve of some people has to be seen to be believed! No wonder you're annoyed - I'd be fuming! But thanks for the warning and I'll be adding my watermark more central on my makes. It makes me so sad as the vast majority of crafters I've come across are a supportive, honest bunch - I suppose you always get a few that spoil things!
But a gorgeous tilda card as always Sharon, love all the details!

Oh no, sweetie, how upsetting! isn't it awful that because of a few right b*stards we have to faff around with watermarks and so on??!! I hope this THIEF (because that is what he is) gets what he deserves - really, if he ever produces something of his own, nobody will believe that he hasn't stolen it from someone else! I don't understand how fools like that don't realise that they are destroying their reputation!

Harrumph!!

Your card is, as usual, absolutely gorgeous! What lovely soft colours - and the bow is just so lush, too!

much love, Mags B x

MagsB said...

Also, my lovely, I have posted on the thief's blog telling him that, basically, he's a fool. I know he's a thief, but I tend to think that people like that will pay more attention to a personal scolding, since that is more - um - personal than just being called a thief! to be honest, I'm so angry that I can't think straight, hence this rather wibbly-wobbly comment!!!

Hi Sharon another fabulous card, so stunning! Unfortunately there is far too much of this going on and Pinterest is one of the worst places for stolen images/cards. Susan x

Hi Sharon, I think this guy is mocking you and probably others, He was very sarcastic in the way he changed the wording and doesn't care if you find out. Nasty man!
This card is gorgeous and the colors are so pretty. Love the die cuts! Your coloring is fabulous, I love her bow, this is a cute Tilda. Another beautiful card to enjoy!

How bad can people be, don't they have ideas of their own?
I always place a watermark on my card.

Purple and green - my two favourite colours. Tilda is just gorgeous!
Ditto the other comments re your thief - how low can one stoop?

Jenny said...

Beautiful card lovelie. So pretty.

Sadly I have seen a lot of this design steeling of late, its so sad. I know one person who won a prize with someone's creation! Some people are just not nice :(

Thank goodness you were told and it looks like the post has been removed now <3 xxx

Stunning card Sharon, this Tilda is so sweet, I inked this one up myself recently with a few other oldies but have yet to paint her.
Sorry to hear you've had a card stolen Sharon, that is well out of order, what satisfaction can one get from stealing and trying to pass it off as your own, I don't understand it.
Thank you for visiting my blog yesterday, I hope you have a great week.
Hugs Teresa

Just seen your message Sharon, not sure how I missed this post yesterday so sorry I am late.

Scumbag indeed, these people are just plain sick and I do sympathise as I know how both annoying and upsetting it is.

When you can make cards this this beauty you can hold your head up and say it's all your own work and be proud of it.

Beautiful card Sharon, thanks for the heads up about the card thief, why on earth people think they can get away with this kind of thing is beyond me, and lucky that your work is recognisable and was spotted and the theft reported back to you.

Gorgeous card, as always, Sharon. Beautiful soft colours, pretty embellishments and great colouring.

I couldn't believe it when I read your post yesterday. Having been to his site he is obviously stealing other people's posts too. It must be so upsetting because they take hours to make, but minutes to steal!

Hopefully he has been shamed and won't do it again.

Hugs, Janine xx

Hi Sharon

Thank you for letting me know .. .. sounds like all our watermarks will be moving place from now on!!!

So pleased you managed to get your card removed from their blog.

Clearly someone is very envious of your wonderful style and beautiful work. I just can't believe they are happy to pass someone else's work off as their own!!

Loving your gorgeous creation here. Such a pretty colour combo and beautiful embellishments as always.

Love Jules xx

Hi Sharon, sorry to hear you are leaving Songbirds, although I quite understand why! It's extremely frustrating when there isn't a clue as to what is happening! I'm hoping that things will be sorted by the time I get back from holiday, but I have a sneaking feeling that I might be following you!

Also thanks for warning us about this blog. I know comments are being left trying to link in to this ribbon company (they tried 3 times on my blog) and even had the nerve to thank me for joining in their challenge. They must think we are all stupid xx

Thanks for the heads up re the watermark/card theft issue! I usually watermark my cards somewhere discrete, looks like I'll have to rethink that on, grrr, some people just have the morals of a cat! Anyway, this is one lovely card - thanks for sharing in the Birthday challenge at Di's Digi Designs
Good luck and hope to see you at the new challenge starting today too, Donna ♥
