Mothers Day at Dream Valley

Hope my blogging buddies are having a lovely weekend and to the mums and Grandmothers out their - Happy Mother's Day.
The challenge over at Dream Valley as you may have guessed by the title is Mother's Day. Do not worry if  the Mother's Day theme does not apply - as long as it is for a Female, then you are fine. We are being sponsored by Freckled Fawn - a wonderful place for all your crafting goodies who are generously offering a prize of $20. Please have a wander over as I am sure you have all made some wonderful Cards which myself and my teamies would love to see.

I had my Mothers Day yesterday as I am at work all day today. We went out for a meal and I had a lovely time. I received some beautiful flowers and cards and would like to say a special thank you.
I mentioned in my last blog how tired I was with constantly running up stairs because our gorgeous little puppy got through every barricade I put up in an effort to eat the cats food which we keep in Russ's study. I gave in on Tuesday and bought a stair gate - money well spent I have to say. Abbie has had all her injections now so from Tuesday we can take her Walkies.  Don't know how we will fair though  because at the moment when you put a lead on her she sits down and refuses to budge!!!

I have two cards to show you today. Both cards are using sentiments from Pink Petticoat.

The papers are from Nitwit Collections called Petal Fresh Too

The ribbon is  Silky Crush Ribbon from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.  The butterfly is a Memory Box die available from many on line stores.

Now for my second card.

The papers and sentiments are from Pink Petticoat. The papers are the gorgeous new Marshmallow.

The ribbon is Silky crush ribbon from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

The butterfly is Memory Box available from many on line stores.

Little Bee Cuties

Good Afternoon Blogger Buddies.

First of all I would like to thank my new followers - it is a real honour and I appreciate you all, old and new.

I have managed to get only one card done today and this has been achieved when my little baby sleeps. As soon as she is awake it all action stations. She has now realised she can get upstairs - perhaps this is her plan to get me fit!!! She has kennel cough at the moment and it sounds awful though the vet has assured me that they are quite able to deal with it and it should clear up on its own. They suggested I give her children's cough mixture or some honey added to warm water. I am trying the latter first. She is so precious. Never thought Russ and I would have a baby together!!!

I couldn't resist buying Little Bee Cuties and Issabelline papers from Pink Petticoat and here is the result.

I have used Marvellous squares by Spellbinders and Fishtail dies by Die-Namics.

The Butterfly and heart dies are by Memory Box. The gems and the ribbon are from my own stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges.
The Pink Elephant - Anything goes
Avenue 613 - Anything goes
Card Mania - Butterflies or Fairies
Daisy Doodles - Anything goes
Stamps and fun - Heart
A Gem of a Challenge - ~Add a bow
Clearly istamp - Black/white& pop of colour
My Heart Pieces - Valentine. Must have a heart

My baby is asleep now so what to do. Card or blogging - either way I will be round today to do some commenting.
Enjoy the rest of your day

Over at Songbird today, we have a new challenge which has been sponsored by Joanna Sheen. The theme for the challenge is Sixteen going on Seventeen so we would love to see all your age cards.
I have used an image from Tiddly Inks - Wryn.
I would like to give a special mention to Alyce from Kit and Clowder for her wonderful colouring tutorial. Catherine

Good morning friends.

Hope you are all well and enjoying crafting whilst I am at work. Boo Hoo. Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Dream Valley. We are being sponsored by Robyns Fetish who will very kindly give away 5 Digi stamps to the winner. The theme is girls, girls, girls - it would be lovely to see you there.

Before I get onto my card has anyone seen Les Miserable yet. I have loved Les Mis for 25 yrs. I first saw it in London and have got the 10th and 25th anniversary performances.  I was very dubious about going to see the film because of my passion for the show but after watching the documentary about it decided I would go.
It was actually the second time I watched the film yesterday and yet again I cried all the way through.  Absolutely stunning performances from the cast and they so deserve to wipe the board at the Oscars. It was so so hard not to burst out into song but I don't think it would have gone down well.

Anyway, on to my card. I have used a Robyns Fetish image called Catherine. Isn't she sweet.

I have coloured the image with Copic Markers and paper pieced the outfit with papers from Pink Petticoat. (Backing papers also from Pink Petticoat).

The Ribbon is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.  The flower die and the heart dies are by Memory box.

The flowers are from WOC. The doily, gems and button are from my own stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges

613 Avenue create - use kraft card
Pile it on - Have a heart
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything goes
Crafting by Designs -   Alcohol Marker challenge plus hearts
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything goes

That's all for today. I will be back tomorrow with another DT post but till then, enjoy the rest of your day. Happy Crafting.

Morning friend bloggers.

Hope you are all well and enjoyed your weekend - don't they go just to darn fast.
My card today has been made for a colleague at work who asked my to make her a Wedding Card. The Wedding card I put on a previous post is for the same Wedding party so I wanted to make something very different from that. Well I found this gorgeous digi from Pink Gem Designs called Love Birds and it fitted the bill perfectly. Good pun there as digi's are so good on the pocket.
