Tilda with Wrapped Heart

Hi Blogger Friends.
Thank you so much for the get well messages for my dad. He has been suffering from Pancreatitus and has been extremely poorly. He is still in the high observation ward and has a long way to go but hopefully he is out of danger. I have never seen him look so frightened.  I have not been able to face going to work and have found it difficult to eat and sleep, I needed to be at home so that I could get across to the hospital as soon as possible if needed. Luckily I live across the road from the hospital.

We have had some more sad news this week. Our daughter Kayleigh has unfortunately lost her baby. She was 12 weeks but the baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks. Russ set off this morning at 6am so that he could be with her as she had to go through the necessary procedure to make sure the baby had come away and it is now 9pm and he is still at the hospital with her. Bless her.  So all in all it has been one hell of a shitty week.

I have tried to keep up with my comment commitments for my DT blogs but have not felt in the mood for any crafting. This is a card I made earlier for a friends daughter.

The card blank is from Craftwork Cards and the papers are from Nitwit Collections. The image has been coloured with Copic Markers.

The butterfly  die on the side of the card is called Butterflight by Tim Holtz. Love this die.

The ribbon is Silk Crush from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. The feather is from my own stash as is the button on the ribbon. The sentiment is computer generated.

I am now going to do some commenting on your wonderful blogs whilst I wait for Russ to get home. I think he will need a big hug.
I am entering this card into the following challenges - add some bling - Ribbon anything goes - Happy birthday - bling (209) anything goes (196)

As I said earlier thank you so much for your lovely comments.

Morning Blogger Friends.

There is a new challenge today over at Songbirds. The theme  "Build me up Buttercup", which I am sure you have guessed, means your submissions must be predominantly yellow. The Sponsor is Pink Cat Studio.  I have used the lovely "Lily Bee".

The papers are from Nitwit Collections. I have coloured her with Pro Markets and Flexi Markers.

Sorry about the shadows - not one of my better photo's.
The bow is from a local craft shop.

The metal corner embellishment and the flowers are from WOC. I have glittered her wings using Diamond Sparkles.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge - Anything goes

Thank you for the get well comments for Dad. He is a lot better than yesterday but still not well. I am stopping with mum for a couple of nights and don't want to seem rude so time for commenting will be limited but I will try my best. I can perhaps sneak in a couple of hours when she goes to bed as she is not a night owl like myself.

Fun Birthday

Good Evening lovely blogger friends.
Hope you are all well and finding some crafty time. I have had four days off work with the intention of making lots and lots of cards!!! Well I made a staggering 4.  Maths is not my strong point but even I can work out that is only 1 a day. On the brighter side I did manage to get both my DT cards done ready for this weekend.

Talking of DT's as I mentioned last week I was asked to join Songbird and Dream Valley - well I also was asked on Sunday to be GDT for No Matter Which Challenge during November. How chuffed did I feel. They do say everything comes in threes don't they.

My card today is clean and simple!!!
Well it was supposed to be - didn't I do well. I suppose for me it is clean and simple, there are no flowers.

Card Blank is from Craftwork Cards. The papers are from Nitwit Collections. The image is from LOTV and has been coloured using Pro Markers and Polychromo Pencils.

The butterfly as you will all know doubt know by now as I use it virtually on every card is by Memory Box.
The scalloped edging is a die from Magnolia.

I have done something on this card which I have never done before and that is to use faux stitching and I am quite pleased with the effect. It seems to finish the card off.
The ribbon is from my own stash.

am entering this card into the following challenges  All creatures great and small
pennyblackatallsorts.blogspot. - Animal magic - anything goes Something old - stamp, something new - magnolia scallop die - anything goes anything goes animals

Have a wonderful week and I will see you all at the weekend.

Patchwork Daisy

Good afternoon friends.
Hope you have all had a good weekend. I booked today off work because I knew that I had to make cards for my DT's and friends but you know what they say "best laid plans"!!!  We went to out daughters Saturday evening and left this morning in good time but we called in at a shopping centre. We then went to Russ's mums and ended up going out for lunch with her and Russ's niece and great niece. So I have actually in two days made a whopping 1 card!!! I really hope my mojo stays for tomorrow.

I have made this card for my parent's to give to their friends for their Diamond Wedding. Mum didn't want anything mushy so I got out one of my favourite stamps.

Card blank is by Craftwork Cards and the papers are In the Meadow too by Nitwit Collections
Got withdrawal symptoms for my Memory box butterfly die so here it is again.

The flowers are all from WOC

The butterfly die on the right of the card is Butterflight by Tim Holtz which I purchased from a local store. This is another of my favourite dies.

The image has been coloured in with Copic Markers and the shadow around the image is a Polychromo pencil. The gems are from my own stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges. - (77) animals - (237)  ribbons - cute and cuddly (96) Die cuts and punches

That's all for now blogger friends. Take care.

Butterfly baby

Good morning to you all. Hope you are well.

It's time for another challenge over at Diva's by Design. The theme for this week is add some texture (fabric, flowers, ribbon, embossing etc), and  has been sponsored by Joanna Sheen. I really enjoyed this challenge so why not head on over there and check it out.

Sponsor images are optional and as at the moment I don't own any of her images (must rectify that as I adore House Mouse), I have used an adorable image from Saturated Canary.

Krista drew this little darling to raise awareness of a terrible decease and is giving away the proceeds from the first weeks sales to this cause. Hurry though cos the proceeds from the sales finishes on Thursday. If you would like to know more about this decease then you can read about it here.

I have really enjoyed colouring the little cutie.

Sorry, Quite a few photo's.

 Card Blank - Craftwork cards
Colouring medium - Copic markers
Cherish Border - Memory Box
Flowers - WOC

I am entering this card into the following challenges; - glimmer and sparkle - add sparkle - Anything goes - anything goes - anything goes - anything goes - butterflies or buttons die cuts and or punches

I have some news about my followers candy in the next few days when I have figured out how to do a sticky post. Is it easy? I would be grateful for any advice as I thought setting up a schedule would be easy but that didn't go to plan.
Enjoy the rest of the day

Good afternoon friend.

Hope you have all enjoyed your weekend and are ready for another crafty week - work permitting. As I told you on my last post I was waiting to confirm being a DT member  for a blog and that was for Songbird Challenges.
