A new challenge at Diva's by Design.

Good Morning blogger friends.

Hope you are all well and enjoying some sunshine as we are in the UK. Can't believe how warm it has been this week considering it is September.

We have a new challenge starting today at Diva's by Design. We are being sponsored by Dies to Die for so we would love to see your gorgeous dies. The DT's have some gorgeous inspiration for you and it would be lovely to see you join in.

I have used a Magnolia image - Tilda with Fantasy Flowers.

I have coloured her with Inktense pencils - I just love the vibrancy of these.

I have just finished colouring a second image following Tracy Paynes tutorial over on Kit and Clowder. (I will show you this at the end of my post). I purchased the Distress Marker Tutorial and Tracy has now included a video on colouring with pencils which is included in the price. The best money I have spent all year - sorry hubby has spent all year!!!

I will post a link to all the products used with a link to the shops at the end of this post.

The papers from Nitwit Collections go beautifully with the pink and green pencil colours.

The flowers are from LLC and WOC. The butterfly die is Joy Crafts and I have blinged the card using pearls and sparkly embellishments from The Hobby House.

I have been having a play with a collage effect. I love these for highlighting certain areas.
Sorry if my post are too picture heavy - can't help myself!!!

Here is my coloured image using Inktense Pencils. I will have to practice different colours on the hair as I was hoping for blonde hair and it is a bit too red.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.

Fairy - On Tiptoe

Good Afternoon blogger friends.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend and are any of you crafting?

I have been enjoying playing this week as I received my order for Inktense Pencils this week.

As many of you may now know, the very talented Tracy has put together a Tutorial on colouring with Distress Markers and she has now added a tutorial using Iktense Pencils. Both are available as a package (including a light resource class at Kit and Klowder.

I have made a card yesterday using Lili of the Valleys Fairy - On Tiptoe for Russ's niece who was 13 this week.

A full product list with a link to the online stores will be at the bottom of this post.

I have coloured her with my Inktense and I am really pleased with the results though I still need to work on the skin tones.

Skin - Baked Earth, Carmine Pink, Sepia Pink
Hair, Saddle Brown, Oak, Sepia Ink
Clothes - Carmine Pink, Leaf
Outline - Iris Blue

I have added a blingy stone to the bow and Diamond Sparkles to the wings to made this card sparkly.
I computer generated the birthday message and cut it out using fishtail dies.

I love the pink and green colours together in fact I think this is possibly my favourite colour combination. You cant really see it on the photo but the butterflies have been layered three times for extra dimension.

I cannot make a card without using pearls so I added them round the edge of the card (I don't know why I told you that as you can see them!!!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.

The Ribbon Girl - Use Ribbon
Allsorts Challenge - Pretty in Pink
Crafty Little Fairies - Sparkle and Bling
Crafty Ribbons - Birthday with Ribbon

Seen as I booked today off work because we went out to a joint 13th 15th and 40th birthday party last night I am in the pub as I am writing this. One of two things will occur later - either I fall asleep because I have had a drink or I will be wide awake and visiting you lovely blogs. Either way, I will be visiting soon.

Hugs to you all and have a lovely week.

A Leaving Card.

Good Evening Blogger Friends.

I would like to say a big hello to my newest followers. It is lovely to see you here and I hope you enjoy your visits. I promise I will get round to catching up with you very soon.

I have a card to show you today which was a commission from a work colleague for a manager of ours who is leaving for another job. A lovely lady and she will be greatly missed.

As Denise has a poodle I was asked to make a card with a Poodle image and I found this cutie from Pink Cat Studios. A list of all the products used will be at the bottom of the post with a link to their on line stores.

This digi image comes in black and white or a pre coloured image which I have used here. The flowers are from WOC and LLC.

I have gone around the image with Diamond Sparkles. Doesn't she look proud. The Ribbon, which I need to reorder is gorgeous - it has lovely sparkly flecks in it.

I have added Frantage to the butterfly and the matting die.
I have added pearls, a clay heart and some Martha Stewart butterflies made with air dry clay and lace to embellish the card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

IDIC - Use a  digi
Crafting with Dragonflies - Girly and Lacy
DoubleClick - Animals
Fab 'n' Funky - Bingo (Flowers, Ribbon, Pearls)
Penny's Paper Crafty - Anything Goes
Kraftin Kimmi - Anything Goes
Clear it Out - Stash (Ribbon)
Craft-room challenge - Something old (ribbon) Something new (digi)

Fab 'n' Funky - Bingo -I am going to try and catch up with you all this evening though I don't know how far I will get. I worked from 8.30am - 10pm yesterday and had an awful nights sleep. I think in total I had 3 hrs. I had a pain in my leg and the only tablets we had had caffeine in them which does not agree with me so I had to try and sleep with the pain - my leg I mean, not Russ!!!
