A message to my blogger friends.

Good evening friends.
Hope you are all well and are ready for the Festive Season.

I am nowhere near ready for Christmas this year because unfortunately my dad is still very poorly. The pancreatitus  has taken its toll on him and has resulted in him having a cyst on his pancreas. He is not able to eat and has lost 3 stone in weight. He is needing an operation and has been told by his doctor to have a high protein diet to try and build him up for the op, but it is very difficult when he can't face food. I have got him today some very high protein drinks which are usually used by athletes. He has managed to finish one today so hopefully he will be able to manage 2 tomorrow.  I just hope and pray that it is not long until his operation and he can then start his recovery.

It seems I have been absent from the blog world for a while and don't know when I will next post a card. I still love to visit your blogs and even if I don't do much commenting you are not forgotten. I just can't concentrate on anything at the moment other my Mum and Dad.

Love and big Hugs to you all for a Wonderful Christmas and Here's to a Very Happy New Year.

Walking Snowmen

Good Morning friends.
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. I had a lovely day yesterday.
I belong to Scunthorpe's Choral Society and we took part in the Rotary clubs Festival of Trees. Over 80 specially decorated trees and wreaths formed a community celebration of Lindsay Lodge Hospice. The Choral society sang our little hearts out for an hour which really got me in the Christmas spirit. For anyone who lives near Scunthorpe, we have a concert on the 16th December at Scunthorpes Baths Hall. We are also singing with the very talented Co-Operative Junior Choir and  the wonderful East Yorkshire Motor Services Brass Band. An extremely enjoyable evening.

Today sees a new and final challenge for 2012 over at Dream Valley. The challenge has been sponsored by not one but four wonderful stores.  The challenge is open for a month to give us time to recharge our batteries ready for 2013 challenges.

I have used a digi image from Crafty Ribbons called "Walking Snowmen". I have added colour to the image with Pro Markers.

The backing papers are from Pink Petticoat and I have the wonderful Jules over at Always with a heart to thank for the idea of over printing the paper with two designs. You must visit Jules blog - her cards are wonderful.

The gorgeous die is Frostyville border by Memory box and is available from many on line stores.

The sentiment is die cut from some backing paper also from the Crafty Ribbon store. I have added Diamond

Patchwork Bunch of Balloons

Morning friends.
It's only a week, but it seems an age since I posted a card. Hope you had a lovely week and are enjoying the weekend.

I had a wonderful day on Tuesday when 3 friends and myself went for a spa day to Centreparcs.  Unbeknown to me, Carol upgraded us, so on arrival, we had a glass of champagne followed by a light breakfast and coffee. We then spent an extremely relaxing time in the many spa rooms before lunch and more champagne. The afternoon was just as relaxing. I apologise to all who were enjoying a relaxing spa day because we did not seem to see all the signs outside the spa rooms which said Shhhh!!!  Lots of talking and laughing was just what the Dr ordered.  To just relax totally is something that doesn't  happen often enough so I will endeavour to go again in the near future.

My card today I made for a friend who's partner is 60 today. Happy Birthday Dave.
I have used a LOTV image called Patchwork Bunch of Balloons.

The card blank is from Craftwork Cards and the papers are from Nitwit Collections. I have backe the image onto a  new favourite which is Kraft card.

I have coloured the image with Pro Markers and Flexi Markers.

The clouds are from a Memory Box die. The ribbon is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
